Biography:
Anthony R. DeBruin, of Yonkers, died on November 30, 2016. He was 94 years old. Born in Minneapolis Minnesota to the late George and Grada Hofstede DeBruin. Beloved husband of the late Lore DeBruin who pre deceased him in 2003. Loving father of Sharon (Lee) Peters, Nancy (John) Lupo, Lorraine (Geoffrey) Cullen, Elizabeth (John) Moschetti, Jane (Clifford) DiDomizio and Thomas (Olga) DeBruin. Adored grandfather of Lee Peters Jr., Daniel Peters, Bradley Peters, John Lupo Jr., Megan Lupo, Geoffrey Cullen Jr., Kaitlyn Cullen, Megan Cullen, Nicole Moschetti, John Moschetti Jr., Ashley Squillace, Jessica DiDomizio, Stephanie DeBruin and Christina DeBruin. Great grandfather of Brandon, Alyssa, Sean, Kathleen, Kyle, Brendan, Isabella and Dewey. Dear brother of George DeBruin Jr., Janet Mihalik, Richard DeBruin, Kathleen Stone, Patricia DeBruin and the late Sophie Lohnes and Robert DeBruin. Anthony is also survived by many loving caring neighbors and friends who helped take wonderful care of him. Mr. DeBruin was a US Army WWII veteran, a welder for A.B. Wolle in Scarsdale, NY and a devoted parishioner and usher at St. John the Baptist Church. Arrangements entrusted to FLOWER FUNERAL HOME INC., 714 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers with visitation Friday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass Saturday 8:45 am at St. John the Baptist with entombment to follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum.
