Hospice can help those who have advance incurable diseases cope with the disease through palliative care, quality of life, and spiritual care. Palliative care deals with the active treatment of the symptoms of the disease to help insure patient comfort. It is not a cure for the disease. Depending on the patient, or the case, this can be provided both in freestanding facilities, home or within a hospital. This affords the patient and their family peace and dignity at their end of life. Most all hospices offer family support emotionally, psychologically, spiritually and finally bereavement care
